El feminicidio y su clamor por la vida. Reflexiones con el magisterio católico y las teologías hechas por mujeres

    El “feminicidio” se manifiesta como forma extrema de una violencia continua queexperimentan las mujeres en la esfera pública y privada y a la vez como un clamorpor la vida en todo el mundo y en América Latina y el Caribe. La violencia de géneroen las Américas constituye, desde el magisterio de la Iglesia católica, un desafíode purificación de la cultura y un llamado a la escucha de su clamor por justicia (cf.EG 69, 188 y 212). Su interpelación ofrece también una ocasión para valorar máslos aportes teológicos hechos por mujeres: una hermenéutica del sufrimiento socialde la violencia, algunos caminos críticos de resistencia no-violenta en diálogo conlas prácticas de diversas mujeres y un acompañamiento pastoral en situacionescríticas, entre otros. Una escucha comprometida con el clamor del feminicidio enla región puede contribuir a una renovación eclesial, impulsar relaciones de igualdadentre varones y mujeres y suscitar criterios de orientación para una pastoralurbana en clave inclusiva.

    Feminicide is a form of extreme violence that women suffer constantly, both in their public and private lives, and, simultaneously, it is also a cry for life that resonates around the world and in Latin America and the Caribbean. Gender violence in the Americas constitutes, from the point of view of the Catholic Church Teachings, a purification challenge for culture and an invitation to listen to the cry for justice (cf.EG 69, 188 and 212). This interpellation is also an opportunity to grant greater value to women’s theological contributions: a hermeneutics of social suffering of violence, some essential ways of nonviolent resistance that establish a dialogue with the practices of many women, and pastoral accompaniment in critical situations, among others. A listening engaged with the cry of feminicide in the region can contribute to an ecclesial renewal, foster equal relations between men and women, and bring about some guidelines for an urban pastoral with views towards inclusiveness.
