    La Vita coaetanea (1311), escrita algunos meses antes de la llegada del filósofo al Concilio de Viena, se suele entender como una autobiografía luliana dictada por él mismo. Sin embargo, el modelo literario que subyace a su cuidada narrativa es el hagiográfico, un modelo igualmente seguido por el autor en su Livre de l´ordre de cavalleria.

    Llull’s A Contemporary Life (1311), written a few months before the philosopher’s arrival to the Council of Vienne, is generally understood as an autobiography dictated by Llull himself. Nevertheless, the literary model behind the carefully-crafted narrative is that of hagiographic literature, a model that Llull himself followed in his Book of the Order of Chivalry.
