Ausentismo laboral en docentes desde la percepción de los rectores de instituciones educativas del régimen oficial del Departamento de Sucre

    Introducción: El ausentismo laboral en docentes se entiende como todos aquellos casos en los que el docente no se hace presente a su puesto de trabajo y por tanto no realiza las funciones asignadas a su cargo en la jornada laboral; dicha ausencia puede ser con o sin autorización de su superior inmediato que para el caso de las instituciones educativas es el rector.

    Objetivo: Describir la problemática del ausentismo laboral en docentes desde la perspectiva de los rectores de instituciones educativas del régimen oficial del Departamento de Sucre.

    Método: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo no experimental y diseño transversal, con alcance descriptivo. La muestra del estudio fueron 45 rectores de instituciones educativas públicas representativas de los municipios del Departamento de Sucre, excluyendo a la ciudad de Sincelejo; a los cuales, se les aplicó una encuesta Ad Hoc acerca de la problemática del ausentismo laboral en docentes.

    Resultados: Se obtuvo que la tipificación de ausentismo más predominante según la percepción de los rectores son las incapacidades por enfermedades generales, siendo el factor salud el mayor predisponente para la presencia de los casos de ausentismo en docentes; en donde, la tendencia es que las mujeres sean las que mayores casos de ausentismo presenten.

    Conclusión: El personal docente de sexo femenino, docentes mayores o iguales a 50 años, lunes y viernes, el mes septiembre, la enfermedad general y en definitiva el factor salud se configuraron en este estudio como aspectos claves del perfil de ausentismo laboral en docentes de instituciones educativas del régimen oficial en el Departamento de Sucre.

    Introduction: Absenteeism in teachers is understood as all those cases in which the teacher does not show up at his or her job and therefore does not perform the functions assigned to his or her position during the working day; Such absence may be with or without the authorization of his immediate superior, who in the case of educational institutions is the rector.

    Objective: To describe the problem of absenteeism in teachers from the perspective of the rectors of educational institutions of the official regime of the Department of Sucre.

    Methods: This is a quantitative, non-experimental study with a cross-sectional design, with a descriptive scope. The study sample consisted of 45 rectors of public educational institutions representative of the municipalities of the Department of Sucre, excluding the city of Sincelejo; An Ad Hoc survey was applied to them about the problem of absenteeism in teachers.

    Results: It was found that the most predominant type of absenteeism according to the perception of the rectors is disability due to general illnesses, with the health factor being the greatest predisposing factor for the presence of cases of absenteeism in teachers; where, the tendency is for women to be the ones with the highest cases of absenteeism.

    Conclusion: Female teaching staff, teachers over or equal to 50 years of age, Mondays and Fridays, the month of September, general illness and ultimately the health factor were configured in this study as key aspects of the absenteeism profile in teachers of educational institutions of the official regime in the Department of Sucre.
