    El objetivo general de la investigación fue describir la gestión de residuos sólidos municipales 2021-2023: revisión sistemática. El enfoque cuantitativo fue el fundamento de esta investigación; utilizando la tipología documental-bibliográfica, se realizó el análisis del objeto de estudio. Además, se utilizó la metodología teórica de revisión sistemática, que tiene como objetivo reunir todo el conocimiento disponible sobre un campo en particular, en este caso la gestión de residuos sólidos municipales. Se implementó un protocolo para organizar la información de cada artículo seleccionado para llevar a cabo la revisión sistemática. Se concluye que, la revisión sistemática destaca que la adopción de estrategias integrales de gestión de residuos sólidos municipales es importante para mejorar la eficiencia y sostenibilidad. Además, la implementación de tecnologías avanzadas en la separación y tratamiento de residuos ha mostrado resultados prometedores. La participación activa de la comunidad y la educación ambiental son elementos clave para el éxito

    The general objective of the research was to describe municipal solid waste management 2021-2023: Systematic review. The quantitative approach was the foundation of this research; using the documentary-bibliographic typology, the analysis of the object of study was carried out. In addition, the theoretical methodology of systematic review was used, which aims to gather all available knowledge on a particular field, in this case municipal solid waste management. A protocol was implemented to organize the information from each article selected to carry out the systematic review. It is concluded that, the systematic review highlights that the adoption of integrated municipal solid waste management strategies is crucial to improve efficiency and sustainability. In addition, the implementation of advanced technologies in waste separation and treatment has shown promising results. Active community participation and environmental education are key elements for success
