    El Movimiento Internacional de Reconciliación (IFOR por sus siglas en inglés) es una de un reducido número de entidades de orientación pacifista fundadas en el período de Entreguerras, y que aún existen hoy en día. No obstante, su historia y su alcance mundial son poco conocidos, un punto confirmado por la falta de investigación, tanto general como científica, sobre su desarrollo y sus logros. Este artículo representa una primera aproximación a una revisión sistemática de la bibliografía existente. Se empleó la técnica de la ‘bola de nieve’ para identificar manuscritos adecuados, centrándose en el primer siglo del IFOR, en cuanto sus estructuras centrales, sus ramas nacionales y sus figuras principales. Se ponen en diálogo 30 textos de género, época, extensión e idioma diferentes, muchos de los cuales requirieron esfuerzos decididos para su obtención. El análisis da a conocer que el IFOR ha contribuido significativamente al desarrollo del pacifismo y la noviolencia, y a su legitimación pública, en los ámbitos de la Iglesia, la política, y la sociedad civil y los movimientos sociales. Se ha realizado a través de métodos como los emisarios personales, la formación y los talleres, y la producción de literatura pacifista. Los vacíos que quedan también se manifiestan aquí con mayor claridad. No existe ningún texto académico disponible al público que abarque el IFOR en toda su dimensión longitudinal y sustantiva. Notablemente, hace falta un abordaje profundo de su labor en el Sur global, correspondiente en líneas generales con su segundo medio siglo. Con estas conclusiones, el artículo abre nuevos caminos en el campo de la historia de la paz.

    The International Fellowship of Reconciliation (IFOR) is one of a small number of pacifist-oriented entities founded during the Interwar period, and still in existence today. Despite such a history and a global reach, it is little-known, a point confirmed in the lack of research, both for general and scientific readerships, into its development and accomplishments. The present article represents a first approach at a systematic review of the extant literature. The ‘snowball’ technique was employed to identify suitable manuscripts, focussing on the first century of the IFOR, including its central structures, its national branches, and its leading figures. 30 texts of different genres, eras, lengths and languages, many of which required determined efforts to source, are put into dialogue with each other. The analysis aims to increase knowledge of the IFOR movement. It has made a significant contribution to the development and public legitimisation of pacifism and nonviolence in the realms of the Church, politics, and civil society and social movements, by way of such methods as personal emissaries, training and workshops, and the production of pacifist literature. The gaps that remain are also revealed here with greater clarity. No single, publicly available, scholarly text exists that covers the IFOR in its full longitudinal and substantive dimensions. Notably, an in-depth focus on its work in the global South, broadly corresponding to its second half-century, is lacking. With these findings, this article breaks new ground in the field of peace history.
