Digitalización y teletrabajo en tiempos de pandemia: diferentes mediciones y análisis

    Este artículo analiza el fenómeno del teletrabajo, aportando diferentes mediciones y estudiando la vinculación entre su prevalencia y el grado de desarrollo digital alcanzado. Se destacan los problemas de medición existentes y sus principales efectos socioeconómicos, como el impacto sobre la productividad, el grado de satisfacción laboral, el balance vida-trabajo o la sostenibilidad ambiental. El enfoque es cuantitativo, mediante la recopilación y análisis de información estadística procedente de diversas fuentes oficiales e investigaciones disponibles. La referencia temporal corresponde al periodo marcado por la pandemia de COVID-19, examinando la evolución previa a la crisis sanitaria y los datos más recientes. Desde el punto de vista espacial, el estudio se centra en el contexto de la Unión Europea y, en particular, en España. Entre los resultados obtenidos, se constata la importancia del capital humano para explicar la diferente incidencia del teletrabajo entre los países europeos.

    This article analyzes the telework phenomenon, providing different measurements and studying the link between its prevalence and the degree of digital development achieved. It highlights the existing measurement problems and its main socioeconomic effects, such as the impact on productivity, the degree of job satisfaction, the work-life balance or environmental sustainability. The approach is quantitative, through the collection and analysis of statistical information from various official sources and available researches. The temporal reference corresponds to the period marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, examining the evolution prior to the health crisis and the most recent data. From the spatial point of view, the study focuses on the context of the European Union and, in particular, on Spain. Among the results obtained, the importance of human capital in explaining the different incidence of telework in European countries is noted.
