    Durante los años 2021 y 2022 se llevó a cabo el proyecto de "Excavación arqueológica, estudio murario y consolidación de la Torre del Río de Viver (Castellón)", promovido por el Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Viver, con la finalidad de recuperar y hacer visitable el yacimiento, declarado Bien de Interés Cultural. Los trabajos arqueológicos, cofinanciados por la Dirección General de Patrimonio Cultural y el Ayuntamiento de Viver, permitieron la documentación completa de la torre y de otras estructuras que se adosaban a ella o la envolvían (como el albacar), además de la recuperación de un buen conjunto de materiales cerámicos de época almohade, datado durante la segunda mitad del siglo XII y principios del siglo XIII.

    During the years 2021 and 2022 it project was carried out the project of "Archaeological excavation, wall study and consolidation of the Torre del Río de Viver (Castellón)" promoted by the City Council of Viver, with the aim of recovering and making visible the site, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. The archaeological work, co-financed by the General of Cultural Heritage and the City Council of Viver, allowed the complete documentation of the tower and other structures that were attached to it or surrounded it (like the albacar), in addition to a wide set of ceramic materials from the Almohad period, dated from the second half of the 12th century and the beginning of the 13th century.
