Paisaje e identidad. La interpretación en la obra de tres pintores mexicanos

    La actual falta de conservación y valoración de los paisajes puede ser contrarrestada a través de la pintura del paisaje. Se busca determinar si ésta puede sensibilizar a la comunidad en la valoración del paisaje, a partir de su interpretación artística y su relación con la identidad cultural. Se analizaron obras de los pintores mexicanos José María Velasco, Rufino Tamayo y Luis García Guerrero. Los resultados destacan cómo cada pintor aporta de manera única al paisajismo y a la identidad cultural mexicana: Velasco por su autenticidad histórica, Tamayo por su innovación y reflexión subjetiva, y García Guerrero por su conexión personal con la región. Ellos impactan positivamente en la sociedad y estimulan una mayor conciencia sobre la percepción, valoración y preservación del paisaje.

    The current lack of conservation and appreciation of landscapes may be counteracted through landscape painting. The aim is to determine if landscape painting can sensitize the community regarding the appreciation of the landscape, based on its artistic interpretation, and its relationship with cultural identity. Works by the Mexican painters José María Ve/asco, Rufino Tamayo and Luis García Guerrero were analyzed. The results highlight how each artist makes a unique contribution to landscape painting and Mexican cultural identity: Velasco due to his historical authenticity, Tamayo for his innovation and subjective reflection, and García Guerrero by way of his persona/ connection to the region. They all have a positive impact on society, stimulating a greater awareness of the perception, appreciation and preservation of the landscape.
