  • Resumen
    • This study aims to assess the spatiotemporal variation of LULC and to predict its dynamics in Algiers using the climate change initiative land cover (CCI-LC) products and the cellular automata and artificial neural network (CA-ANN) models. To simulate the spatiotemporal change transition potential and future LULC patterns, two-time steps were used: (1) a 14-year time step (1992–2020) and (2) a 10-year time step (2000–2020). For model validation, the simulation results were compared to the observed LULC map for 2020. The best-performing simulation approach was then used to generate a future LULC scenario for the period 2030–2050.
