    El presente comentario aborda cuestiones de interés relacionadas con el despido disciplinario del deportista profesional: antigüedad y cómputo del tiempo de prestación de servicios a efectos indemnizatorios, teniendo en cuenta que tras un primer contrato, se realizó una novación contractual. Respecto a la suma indemnizatoria, la controversia gira alrededor de la aplicación de las reglas establecidas en el artículo 15.1 del Real Decreto 1006/1985.

    The following commentary addresses several issues of interest as a consequence of the disciplinary dismissal of the athlete: the working time account regarding the severance payment and the payment of compensation. In relation to the working time account, the athlete was initially hired by the Barcelona Football Club as a technical advisor. Later, due to a contractual modification, he became an assistant manager of the basketball team. At this point, the issue of labor seniority must be taken into account in order to calculate the compensation. Regarding the amount of the compensation, the controversy revolves around the application of the rules established in Article 15.1 of Royal Decree 1006/1985.
