    Los testamentos son una fuente básica de conocimiento por ser documentos individuales, cuyos formulismos son reflejo del sistema de creencias y la mentalidad colectiva de una época incardinada en unas coordenadas espaciales y temporales específicas. Por tal motivo, se analizará el testamento de la reina Urraca de Castilla, cuya trayectoria vital ha sido tan tímidamente abordada por la historiografía, a fin de profundizar en el conocimiento de su coyuntura circunstancial y, con ello, incrementar tanto la información sobre la creencia en la salvación del alma a través de las obras pías como las dinámicas de relación entre el poder regio y el eclesiástico en la Plena Edad Media.

    Wills are a fundamental source of knowledge since they are individual documents whose formulas reflect the belief system and the collective mentality of an area set in specific geographical and temporal coordinates. For this reason, the will of Queen Urraca of Castille, whose life trajectory has been so timidly approached by historiography, will be analysed in this paper to deepen the knowledge of her circumstantial situation and, with it, increase both the information on the belief in the salvation of the soul through pious works and on the dynamics of the relationship between royal and ecclesiastical power in the High Middle Ages.
