El teatro político, el espectador activo y la necesidad de una nueva crítica

    Se trabajará aquí sobre la recepción del teatro político así como sobre los discursos producidos desde la crítica periodística y académica especializada. Se sostendrá que una vasta zona del teatro político contemporáneo que aborda la última dictadura argentina propone un tipo de espectador ideal absolutamente activo. En la búsqueda de conmoción y de interpelación al espectador, el teatro contemporáneo que se refiere a los setenta interroga sobre el lugar que este ocupa frente al terrorismo de estado. Las obras que se analizan en este trabajo se constituyen como intentos para vulnerar la inmutabilidad del espectador frente a las consecuencias del terror dictatorial, confrontando y poniendo a prueba los saberes sociales de los espectadores con aquellos específicos del texto.

    In this article I deal with the reception of political theater, as well as the discourses produced by specialized journalistic and academic critics. I maintain that a vast area of contemporary political theater that addresses the last dictatorship in Argentina proposes an absolutely active kind of ideal spectator. In pursuit of shocking and challenging the spectator, contemporary theater that refers to the 1970s questions the place that the spectator occupies facing state terrorism. The plays that are analyzed in this work are attempts to undermine the immutability of the viewer in front of the consequences of dictatorial terror, confronting and testing the social knowledge of spectators with the knowledge specific of the text.
