    Son enseñanzas distintas y transversales al sistema general, tanto universitario como no universitario, lo que explica el difícil encaje que desde siempre han tenido en la arquitectura del sistema educativo español. Sus títulos se integran dentro del Marco Español de Cualificaciones para la Educación Superior (MECES), al igual que los universitarios, pero no están en las universidades, lo que hace que en España perviva una doble vía superior de Enseñanzas Artísticas y de enseñanzas universitarias; ése es el «elefante en la habitación» que se adivina en los textos que integran este Tema del Mes.

    They are different and transversal to the general system, both university and non-university, which explains why they have always been difficult to fit into the architecture of the Spanish education system. Their degrees are included in the Spanish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (MECES), just like university degrees, but they are not in the universities, which means that in Spain there is still a double higher track of Artistic Education and university education; this is the «elephant in the room» that can be seen in the texts that make up this Topic of the Month.
