  • Resumen
    • Proactive personality refers to a stable tendency to take initiative and explore new ways to influence the external environment. This study uses a questionnaire-based approach to examine the proactive personality and laboratory safety attitude among graduate students. The results show that the laboratory safety attitude positively correlates with the proactive personality traits. There is a significant gender difference in safety attitude, with females scoring higher than males. A significant difference in degree type is also found in safety affective and cognitive attitude, with the master’s candidates being higher than those of doctoral candidates. This work provides practical implications for the safety management of academic laboratories.
