    Este estudio analiza en profundidad el sistema español de protección de adultos en situaciones transfronterizas e internas, revelando sus deficiencias y proponiendo soluciones para su mejora. Aporta una visión crítica y constructiva, con bases legales e interpretativas sólidas, para perfeccionar las normas de Derecho Internacional Privado e interregional en este ámbito. Se aborda, igualmente, el análisis de la Propuesta de Reglamento de la Unión Europea de protección de adultos, entrelazado con lo diferentes temas tratados; sin olvidar el gran referente que es el Convenio de la Haya en esta materia. A su vez, se ofrece un análisis jurisprudencial relevante y se analiza la función notarial con especial atención a los poderes preventivos.

    The present study analyses in depth the Spanish system of adult protection in cross-border and domestic situations, revealing its shortcomings and proposing solutions for its improvement. It provides a critical and constructive vision, with solid legal and interpretative bases, in order to improve the rules of Private International and Interregional Law in this field. It also addresses the analysis of the Proposal for a European Union Regulation on the protection of adults, intertwined with the different subjects dealt with, without forgetting the great reference point that is the Hague Convention in this matter. At the same time, a relevant jurisprudential analysis is offered and the notarial function is analysed with special attention being paid to preventive powers.
