Dialéctica negativa: la transformación de la teoría crítica de la sociedad

    En Dialéctica negativa, Adorno justifica históricamente la necesidad de que la teoría crítica de la sociedad adopte la forma de filosofía. Esta transformación representa un cambio profundo desde la tradición marxista y tiene gran trascendencia para el desarrollo de la teoría crítica en el presente. En este artículo se busca clarificar los argumentos sociohistóricos que llevan a Adorno a redirigir el pensamiento crítico hacia la filosofía, sustentados en una crítica inmanente a la teoría de Marx y a la filosofía de la identidad de Hegel. También se examinará la importancia de la crítica inmanente para la Escuela de Frankfurt, enfocándose en aspectos que son esenciales para comprender su desarrollo y significado. Este análisis establecerá las bases para abordar la tesis de Adorno sobre necesidad histórica de la filosofía en la formulación de una dialéctica negativa. Finalmente, se tratará la disyuntiva que surge al confrontar la teoría crítica de Adorno con la de Moishe Postone, es decir, si se debe concebir a la teoría crítica como una teoría social o como una filosofía dialéctica negativa. El objetivo es ofrecer una respuesta a esta cuestión.

    In Negative Dialectics, Adorno historically justifies the necessity for critical social theory to adopt the form of philosophy. This transformation represents a profound shift from the Marxist tradition and has significant implications for the development of critical theory today. This article seeks to clarify the sociohistorical arguments that led Adorno to redirect critical thought toward philosophy, supported by an immanent critique of Marx's theory and Hegel's philosophy of identity. The article will also examine the importance of immanent critique for the Frankfurt School, focusing on aspects that are considered essential for understanding its development and significance. This analysis will lay the groundwork for addressing Adorno's thesis on the historical necessity of philosophy in the formulation of a negative dialectic. Finally, it will discuss the dilemma that arises when confronting Adorno's critical theory with that of Moishe Postone, namely, whether critical theory should be conceived as a social theory or as a negative dialectical philosophy. The aim is to provide an answer to this question.
