The pillars of the Seville Cathedral were designed by the master Carlín de Rouen in 1435. Our work explores and systematizes the elements that compose them, the relationships established between them, and the qualitative participation of the supports in the general definition of the architectural space. These supports constitute a very advanced manifestation within the general evolution of the fasciculated pillar in Europe, placing the Sevillian temple as a capital work of the peninsular Late Gothic. On the other hand, its analysis reveals innovative aspects of a master whose creative personality is still unclear.
