    La Escritura es una cantata a muchas voces - ésa es una de las muchas maneras de describirla - y es también, por esta razón, una fuente inagotable de inspiración para teólogos, místicos, pero también para filósofos, pensadores, juristas, eruditos y artistas, pintores, escultores, poetas y novelistas, hasta llegar a los cineastas actuales. En esta conferencia, y en respuesta a la invitación que se me ha hecho, quisiera desandar caminos conocidos en tres campos: el derecho, la teología y la filosofía, y redescubrir las huellas de la Escritura. No puede ser un estudio exhaustivo, será más bien una serie de pequeños tableaux, una serie de tomas de algunos detalles de paisajes conocidos.

    Scripture is a cantata with multiple voices - this is one of the many ways of describing it - and it is also on account of this that it is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for theologians, for mystics, but also for philosophers, thinkers, jurists, scholars, and for artists, painters, sculptors, poets, and novelists, even as it is that for today´s theatre, film and television directors, too. In this contribution, in answer to the invitation addressed to me, I wish to go over familiar paths in three fields, law, theology, philosophy, to uncover the traces there of Scripture. This cannot be an exhaustive study, but will rather be a series of little "tableaux", a series of snapshots of some details of familiar landscapes.
