Resumen de Diversidad étnico-cultural y educación intercultural cimentada en la interacción de saberes

En este artículo se analiza la interacción entre saberes indígenas y saberes pedagógicos en la formación de profesores de educación intercultural. Los saberes indígenas están insertos tanto en prácticas y técnicas de trabajo como también en actividades sociales cuya eficacia depende de las relaciones entre las personas que participan. Por otro lado, la ciencia depende de criterios experimentales o formales, donde no existe saber sin una práctica discursiva definida que conforma hipótesis científicas, teorías y leyes. En tanto, lo intercultural implica una apertura a establecer relaciones con el Otro. La interculturalidad es una innovación que propone una lectura diferente del mundo. La formación de profesores, en este caso, se lleva a cabo bajo la forma de encuentro de culturas de sociedades diferentes, entre formadores y estudiantes que pertenecen a las culturas occidental y mapuche.

This article analyses the interaction between indigenous and pedagogical knowledge in the training of teachers of intercultural education. Indigenous knowledge is inserted in practical and work techniques as well as in social activities whose effi ciency depends on the relationships established between the people that participate. On the other hand, science depends on experimental or formal criterion, where knowledge does not exist without a defi ned discursive practice constituting scientifi c hypothesis, theories and laws. Intercultural knowledge, meanwhile, implies being open to establish a relationship with the Other. Interculturalism is an innovation that proposes a different interpretation of the world. In this case, the training of teachers takes place when cultures from different societies meet, in this case, teachers and students that belong to the western culture and the Mapuche culture.
