    El 2023 fue un año histórico para el arte rupestre regional como patrimonio UNESCO-ARAMPI. Con motivo de esta conmemoración, la Dirección General de Patrimonio Cultural produjo la exposición “Al abrigo de la Prehistoria: 25 aniversario del Arte Rupestre del Arco Mediterráneo Patrimonio Mundial” desde el día uno de diciembre de 2023 hasta el 4 de febrero de 2024 en la sala de temporales del Museo Arqueológico de Murcia (MAM). Los objetivos principales eran dar a conocer al público en general los abrigos/cuevas con arte rupestre de la Región de Murcia, informar sobre la importancia de un patrimonio mundial y la responsabilidad que conlleva este nombramiento, sensibilizar sobre la fragilidad de este bien, mostrar a todos los agentes implicados en este ámbito y comunicar la tarea de gestión que se hace desde la administración regional sobre este bien público.

    2023 was a historic year for regional rock art as UNESCO-ARAMPI heritage. On the occasion of this commemoration, the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage produced the exhibition “In the shelter of Prehistory: 25thanniversary of the Rock Art of the Mediterranean Arch World Heritage” from December 1 2023, until February4, 2024 in the temporary room of the Murcia Archaeological Museum (MAM). Te main objectives were to makethe shelters/caves with rock art of the Region of Murcia known to the general public, inform about the importanceof a world heritage site and the responsibility that this designation entails, raise awareness about the fragility ofthis heritage, show all the agents involved in this scope and communicate the management task that is carried outby the regional administration on this public heritage.
