The present work it is an study about how the people use a particular achitectural space. We choice the Poblamiento de América room at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City and we observed the behavioral responses of the people when they visited the room. We use the Hall's propose about proxemic to explain the cultural causes of this behavior. We identified what objects in this exhibition were the most viewed by the people and we tried to explain why, at the same way we identified what kind of objetcs were ignored by the people. We think that these kind of social research, can explain the cultural use of the specific spaces, like the museum rooms; and explain what kind of factors are the most important to design, and build the architectural spaces.
