The new techniques of molecular biology including DNA extraction and PCR from ancient human bone and soft tissue opened a new age in the studies of the Physical Anthropology. All this make possible that mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) analysis have many important implications in the Phylogenetic studies, population migration and others. These able to us to know biologically the extinguish populations, such as the ancient prehispanic populations from the Baja California Sur. Where it is be lived that little population diversity existed. The present research includes the molecular study of the prehispanic population of Baja California South, (Mexico). 11 burials were analyzed, by means of the DNA extration and amplification of the control region I and its sequence.
