  • The essay proposes a critical analysis of cultures and theories of Italian labour law studies. The author examines theoretical trends in historical perspective and then confronts them with several crucial issues of present labour law. What emerges is a light and shade portrait. The declining trends of the meaning itself of labour legislation are not omitted. Nevertheless, without flowing back in a mere twilight perspective, as the questions raised in the final part of the essay clearly show.
