    Durante los primeros meses de 2024 se ejecutó el proyecto de “Reparaciones puntuales en el interior de la iglesia parroquial de Santa María la Real en Aledo, Murcia”. Tras la retirada parcial y controlada de revestimientos en muros y pilares y en su fachada norte, y de la excavación, dentro y fuera del templo, de varias cámaras de ventilación al pie de los cierres norte y oeste, se han obtenido resultados muy interesantes para el conocimiento del edificio. El más destacado es que se confirma materialmente que el presbiterio y el crucero son de mitad del XVIII, algo que ya sabíamos por las fuentes documentales, y que ambos cuerpos se conservaron en parte al levantarse el resto de la iglesia actual al final de dicho siglo e inicio del XIX.

    Te project “Specifc repairs in the interior of Santa María la Real parish church in Aledo, Murcia” was carriedout during the frst months of 2024. Afer the partial and controlled removal of coverings in walls and pillars andon its the north façade, and the excavation, inside and outside the temple, of some vented chambers at the foot ofthe north and west closures, very interesting results have been obtained for knowledge of the building. Te mostremarkable is the one that confrms that the presbytery and the transept date from the mid 18th century, somethingwe already knew because of documentary sources, and that both sections were partly preserved when the rest ofthe present church was built at the end of that century and the beginning of the 19th century.
