  • Resumen
    • The inevitable result of technical change is a shift in employment (labour demand) and wage structures, which recently have been analysed in the task-content of jobs framework. Most studies focus on highly developed economies, while this research concerns 11 Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, Member States of the European Union (EU), which are still lagging behind the “old” EU-15 countries in terms of the pace of technological advancements and automation. In this chapter, the ALM framework will be used to estimate parameters of a multilevel ordered probit model to analyse the impact of technological change on shifts in the distribution of wage premia across the CEE region. The study is based on European Union Labour Force Survey (EU LFS) microdata retrieved from Eurostat.
