  • Resumen
    • The global pandemic caused by COVID-19 has led to important changes in the labor market. In the case of Spain, one of the most transcendental has been the implementation and intensive use of telework. During the first months of the pandemic, approximately 80% of companies resorted to telework. From the authors’ point of view, this has led to an acceleration of the technological process in the labor market, understood as the implementation and diffusion of ICT in the workplace. This research work analyzes the technological changes provoked during 2020 and 2021 in Spain. For this purpose, we use the quarterly microdata of the Labour Force Survey prepared by the INE (National Statistics Institute). In particular, we analyze the evolution of ICT employment, the change in the productive structure and the probability of being employed in tasks defined as ICT or with a high technological content. To this end, the methodology proposed by the is adapted to the Spanish case and previous work by the authors of this chapter is extended.
