La Matefobia y su Incidencia en el Rendimiento Académico de la Educación General Básica Superior

    La investigación realizada tuvo como objetivo analizar las causas y factores de la Matefobia como debilitante del rendimiento académico; el enfoque fue cuantitativo, el diseño no experimental- transversal.  La población fueron los estudiantes de la institución educativa antes mencionada; se utilizó una muestra no probabilística, por conveniencia; la técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y el test de diagnóstico conformada por su cuestionario y se realizó la correlación de PEARSON, entre las dos variables y se dio uso al programa estadístico SPSS. Como principal resultado se obtuvo que las causas que provocan la Matefobia son: terror, mito, actitudes del profesor y las creencias; los mismos que se ven influenciados por los factores psicológicos y sociológicos, obteniendo la correlación de las variables Matefobia y rendimiento académico, denotando que a mayor Matefobia, menor rendimiento académico. Se concluyó que los estudiantes tienen mala percepción de la Matemática, que ha aumentado en su formación académica.

    The research carried out aimed to analyze the causes and factors of Matephobia as debilitatinge of academic performance; the approach was quantitative, the non-experimental-cross-sectional design. The population was the students of the educational institution mentioned above; a non-probabilistic sample was used, for convenience; the technique used was the survey and the diagnostic test made up of its questionnaire and the PEARSON correlation was performed between the two variables and the SPSS statistical program was used. As the main result, it was obtained that the causes that provoke Matephobia are: terror, myth, teacher attitudes and beliefs; the same ones that are influenced by psychological and sociological factors, obtaining the correlation of the variables Matephobia and academic performance, denoting that the higher Matephobia, the lower the academic performance. It was concluded that students have a bad perception of Mathematics, which has increased in their academic training.
