  • The contribution observes how the recent past – and over all, the Second Vatican Council – has influenced not only the concept of the Code of Canon Law, but also their contents. Starting from the methodology used in the prepared the text of the code of 1983, the article examines the most recent and very impactful interventions of the actual Legislator. His action, sometimes not very clear or coherent, comes to the result of making the profile of the Code appearing less unitary and satisfying. In the end, the paper explores the hypotheses that involves the juridical doctrine in the developments of the Canon Legislation, to ensure, in the future, greater consistency and quality of methods and results
