    Con el objetivo de dar a conocer el potencial de innovación organizacional e institucional de la FCC Médicas UNAN-Managua, se presenta este artículo. Este potencial es orientado a la modernización de los procesos de investigación biomédica y la educación de posgrado, tanto en las especialidades médicas, como en el sector salud pública de Nicaragua. Se destacan como hallazgos relevantes: 1) El INVBIOM, basado en el Modelo I+D+i evolucionado al año 2022, asume la lógica del proceso de investigación, con visión holística, sistémica y antropocéntrica, para generar nuevos conocimientos y tecnologías, aplicados a las diferentes especialidades médicas. 2) El INVBIOM, se propone como un instituto innovador de investigación científica y estudios de posgrado, dirigido a fortalecer las competencias de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación, de los médicos de base de los hospitales del MINSA y docentes clínico-quirúrgicos de la FCCMédicas. 3) El INVBIOM, contribuirá a mejorar la formación científica de los Médicos Residentes de las Especialidades Médicas, mediante tres cursos MOOC: (a) Metodología de Investigación Científica, (b) Bioestadística, (c) Redacción Científica. 4) El INVBIOM, se organizará en seis Programas Académicos, cuatro estructuras especializadas, un Centro de Investigación Científica y 14 Unidades de Investigación a nivel hospitalario. Para el desarrollo del INVBIOM, se propone crear los Comités de Investigación Biomédica en el ámbito hospitalario, para contribuir a mejorar la calidad, pertinencia e impactos de los resultados de Investigaciones Biomédicas, lo cual incrementará la productividad científica del sector salud pública a nivel nacional.

    With the objective of publicizing the potential for organizational and institutional innovation of the FCC Médicas UNAN-Managua, this article is presented. This potential is aimed at modernizing biomedical research processes and postgraduate education, both in medical specialties and in the public health sector of Nicaragua. The following are highlighted as relevant findings: 1) The INVBIOM, based on the R&D&i Model evolved by 2022, assumes the logic of the research process, with a holistic, systemic and anthropocentric vision, to generate new knowledge and technologies, applied to the different medical specialties. 2) The INVBIOM is proposed as an innovative institute of scientific research and postgraduate studies, aimed at strengthening the Research, Development and Innovation competencies of the basic doctors of the MINSA hospitals and clinical-surgical teachers of the FCCMédicas. 3) INVBIOM will contribute to improving the scientific training of Resident Doctors of Medical Specialties, through three MOOC courses: (a) Scientific Research Methodology, (b) Biostatistics, (c) Scientific Writing. 4) INVBIOM will be organized into six Academic Programs, four specialized structures, a Scientific Research Center and 14 Research Units at the hospital level. For the development of INVBIOM, it is proposed to create Biomedical Research Committees in the hospital setting, to contribute to improving the quality, relevance and impacts of the results of Biomedical Research, which will increase the scientific productivity of the national public health sector.
