    Actualmente, la inteligencia artificial avanza rápidamente y promete transformar la vida cotidiana. En la educación superior, esta tecnología se está integrando como parte esencial del aprendizaje, lo que hace crucial evaluar su producción científica y aplicaciones en el ámbito educativo. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo de determinar el estado actual de la producción científica sobre IA en la educación superior en Perú durante los últimos 5 años, usando las bases de datos Scopus y Web of Science, para establecer nuevas líneas de investigación, a través de una metodología de revisión sistemática, considerando una muestra de 197 artículos. Los resultados muestran que China y Estados Unidos lideran en publicaciones sobre IA en educación superior, con un aumento significativo en 2021-2023. Scopus es la base de datos más utilizada, el inglés es el idioma predominante, y la principal temática de investigación es la educación. En conclusión, la producción científica en Perú sobre IA en educación superior es limitada en los últimos cinco años, subrayando la necesidad de nuevas líneas de investigación adaptadas a la realidad nacional. Aunque hay un creciente interés en la educación, todavía hay áreas aún no exploradas que requieren atención.

    Currently, artificial intelligence is advancing rapidly and promises to transform daily life. In higher education, this technology is being integrated as an essential part of the learning process, making it crucial to evaluate its scientific production and applications in the educational field. This research aimed to determine the current state of scientific production on AI in higher education in Peru over the past five years, using the Scopus and Web of Science databases, to establish new research lines through a systematic review methodology, considering a sample of 197 articles. The results indicate that China and the United States lead in publications on AI in higher education, with a significant increase observed from 2021 to 2023. Scopus is the most utilized database, English is the predominant language, and the primary research theme is education. In conclusion, scientific production in Peru regarding AI in higher education has been limited over the past five years, highlighting the need for new research lines tailored to the national context. Although there is a growing interest in education, there are still unexplored areas that require attention.
