    Este artículo establece un análisis comparativo entre El almuerzo desnudo (1959) de William S. Burroughs y su adaptación cinematográfica Naked Lunch (1991), dirigida por David Cronenberg. El trabajo plantea un recorrido por la producción artística de ambos creadores, partiendo de una investigación de lo vírico en sus respectivas obras. A lo largo de este estudio se expondrán las convergencias y las divergencias entre el texto y las imágenes del padre de la Nueva Carne. Para ello acudiremos a distintos elementos dramáticos, narrativos e iconográficos que vertebran el universo de ambos creadores

    This paper establishes a comparative analysis between William S. Burroughs’s The Naked Lunch (1959) and its film adaptation Naked Lunch (1991), directed by David Cronenberg. The work proposes a journey through the artistic production of both creators, starting with an investigation of the viral in their respective works. Throughout this study, the convergences and divergences between the text and the images of the father of the New Flesh will be presented. For that purpose, we will look at the different dramatic, narrative and iconographic elements that form the backbone of the universe of both creators.
