El antipositivismo como respuesta a la crisis civilizatoria. El proyecto filosófico-político de Alejandro Korn

    El artículo propone un análisis de las tesis filosóficas e historiográficas de Alejandro Korn en continuidad con su proyecto político-intelectual. Después de su paso por el radicalismo y el PartidoConservador, y en confrontación con la generación positivista culturalmente hegemónica hasta mediados de la década del ’10, Korn promovió la difusión local de nuevos filósofos -principalmente,Bergson, Jaurès y Croce- leídos en clave antipositivista. A partir de 1918 su posicionamiento filosófico coincidió con su vinculación al movimiento estudiantil y un paulatino acercamiento a la intelectualidadsocialista. Al mismo tiempo, emprendió el trazado de lo que sería la primera historia sobre la tradición ideológica del país, proponiendo una matriz política y cultural contrapuesta al canon historiográfico positivista y liberal. El recorrido por su apuesta filosófica e histórica permite iluminar la figura de un “intelectual-filósofo” preocupado por un pronunciamiento político que excede el ámbito académico. Pero además ello recupera, por un lado, las motivaciones político-intelectuales y los productos culturales involucrados en la “reacción antipositivista” argentina y, por el otro, el mapa de los filósofosargentinos que decidieron poner en continuidad sus tesis teóricas con sus intervenciones políticas.

    This article analyzes the philosophical and historiographical thesis of Alejandro Korn in relation to his political and intellectual project. Confronting the culturally-hegemonic Positivist generation, Korn promoted the local circulation of new philosophers –principally, Bergson, Jaurès and Croce- and fostered new ways of reading them from an Antipositivist stance. Since 1918, after his participation in the Unión Cívica Radical and in the Partido Conservador, his philosophical position coincides with his link with the student movement and a gradual reconciliation with the socialist intelligentsia. At the same time, he began to design what would later become the first history on the ideological tradition of the country. In this history, Korn ́s point of view was opposed to the Positivist and liberal historiographical canon. Thus, the analysis of his philosophical and historical commitment can shed some light on the figure of the intellectual-philosopher that Korn sought to build, and this allows us, on the one hand, to recover the political and intellectual motivations linked to the so-called “Anti-Positivist reaction” and, on the other hand, it maps the group of Argentine philosophers who decided to make their thesis coherent with their political concerns.
