Escalas de análisis y socialismo. Reflexiones en torno a una experiencia de investigación

    La reflexión en torno a la escala de análisis constituye una preocupación reciente en los estudios sobre el Partido Socialista Argentino (PS). Previamente, las investigaciones sobre el PS en la Capital Federal (su principal bastión electoral) se proyectaron implícitamente como la historia “nacional” del partido, mientras que las del resto del país adoptaron muchas veces una escala local, provincial o regional. Si bien desde estas perspectivas se aportó información complementaria a aquella historia general, en la mayoría de los casos no se la sometió a discusión, en parte debido a que buscaron identificar contrastes antes que pensar problemáticas generales desde una perspectiva situada.

    En los últimos años, en cambio, los estudios sobre el socialismo en el “interior” pusieron de relieve la importancia de la escala microanalítica como una vía fructífera para analizar el funcionamiento de la organización y las prácticas concretas de los militantes.

    En tal sentido, el presente trabajo pretende recuperar algunos de los principales aportes del microanálisis, la historia regional y la historia local, así como también el papel que la escala analítica jugó para pensar el desarrollo del socialismo argentino.

    The reflection on the scale of analy- sis is a recent concern in the studies on the Argentine Socialist Party (SP). Before that, the studies of the SP in Buenos Aires city (its main electoral bastion) were implicitly projected as the “national” history of the party, while those of the rest of the country adopted many times a local, provincial or regional scale. Even though these perspectives provided complementary information to that general history, in most cases it was not submitted to discussion, partly because they sought to identify contrasts rather than thinking about general problems from a situated perspective. In recent years, however, the studies on socialism in the “interior” highlighted the importance of the microanalytic scale as a fruitful way to analyze the functioning of the organization and the concrete practices of the militants. In this sense, this work aims to recover some of the main contributions of the microanalysis, the regional and the local history, as well as the role played by the analytical scale in order to think out the development of Argentine socialism.
