    El Huracán de Séquitor es el club deportivo activo más antiguo de toda la cuenca del Salar de Atacama, su existencia cristaliza una inusitada relación entre fútbol y etnicidad, las normativas propias del deporte entrelazada con ceremonias y ritos atacameños. Caracterizaremos la historia del Club, señalando sus principales momentos en clave étnica y multicultural. Metodológicamente, nos basamos en una investigación etnográfica que incluyó revisión de archivos, visitas a la cancha, entrevistas y por supuesto, jugar al fútbol.

    The Hurricane of Séquitor is the oldest active sports club in the entire Salar de Atacama basin; its existence crystallizes an unusual relationship between football and ethnicity, the regulations of sport intertwined with Atacameño ceremonies and rites. We char-acterize the history of the Club, pointing out its central moments in an ethnic and multicultural key. Methodologically, we relied on ethnographic research that included file review, field visits, interviews, and of course, playing soccer.
