    En el presente artículo se revisa la relación entre el arte rupestre andino, especialmente del norte de Chile, y los motivos tejidos actual mente por las tejedoras de la zona Jalq'a, Sucre, Bolivia. Se presta especial atención a la relación entre dos motivos visuales, el ícono de Chorrillos y el supay o diablo.

    The present article reviews the relationship between Andean rock art, especially from northern Chile, and the motifs currently produced by the weavers of the Jalq'a area, Sucre, Bolivia. Emphasis is placed on the relationship between two visual motifs, the Chorrillos icon, and the supay or devil.
