“El Arte en España” o la colección fotográfica de la Exposición Internacional de Barcelona (1929) del CSIC: un ejemplo bibliográfico de su utilidad

    Se presenta esta inédita colección fotográfica sobre arte y arqueología que, en 1943, el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas compró a Joaquín Montaner, antiguo director de la muestra artística de la Exposición Internacional de Barcelona de 1929. A través de un ejemplo bibliográfico, centrado en el análisis de las imágenes más antiguas y completas que se conocen del códice único del Cantar de Mio Cid, se destaca su singularidad, unicidad e importancia iconográfica para la investigación sobre, al menos, 3359 objetos patrimoniales (de los 4899) que fueron expuestos y fotografiados durante el certamen.

    We present an unpublished photographic collection on art and archaeology that, in 1943, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) bought from Joaquín Montaner, former director of the artistic section of the International Exhibition of Barcelona (1929). Through a bibliographic example, focusing on the analysis of the oldest and most complete photographs of the codex of “Poem of the Cid”, its singularity, uniqueness and iconographic importance for the research of 3359 heritage objects is highlighted, of the 4899 objects that were shown and photographed during that exhibition
