  • A painting in the collection of the National Trust at Kedleston Hall, Derbyshire, is published here as a work of Annibale Carracci's maturity. Related to comparable compositions which derive from it, in collections in Rome and Cambridge, it was acquired in Florence in 1758 for the 1st Baron Scardale.
