    La historia reciente de Macedonia muestra la presencia de múltiples conflictos que plantean muchos desafíos a la propia existencia de este país. Este trabajo estudiará la evolución de la República prestándole atención a los esfuerzos para prevenir la escalada de violencia, presentará el Acuerdo de Ohrid y analizará el parcial fracaso de la reforma del Estado. Por último, identificará los principales retos a los que se enfrenta actualmente Macedonia.

    The recent history of Macedonia shows the presence of multiple conflicts that pose many challenges to the very existence of this country. This paper will study the evolution of the Republic by paying attention to the efforts to prevent the escalation of violence in those conflicts. It will present the Ohrid Agreement and analyze the partial failure of state reform. Finally, it will identify the main challenges that Macedonia is facing nowadays.
