Revisión bibliográfica sobre Antes que anochezca de Reinaldo Arenas y sus reescrituras (1993-2022)

    En este artículo se revisan 77 fuentes bibliográficas en torno a Antes que anochezca (1992) y sus reescrituras fílmica y operística. El objetivo es sintetizar, analizar y discutir la bibliografía alrededor de estas obras. De acuerdo con algunas afinidades teórico-conceptuales, se agrupan las fuentes en tres secciones: estudios de género (29), escrituras del yo (29) y reescritura fílmica (18). Se concluye que aún existen campos de vacancia que justifican volver la mirada a la obra y sus reescrituras, como la teoría queer, la teoría de la función autoral, la narratología del guion, entre otros.

    This article reviews 77 bibliographical sources about Before Night Falls (1992) and its film and operatic rewritings. The aim of this study was to synthesize, analyze, and discuss the bibliography around these works. Based on theoretical-conceptual affinities, the sources were grouped into three categories: gender studies (29), self writings (29), and film rewriting (18). It is concluded that there are still research gaps that justify to delve critically into the work and its rewritings, by using theories such as queer, the role of the author, narration in the screenplay, among others.
