El paciente oncológico terminal de cabeza y cuello es un paciente que aparte del sufrimiento propio de su cáncer se le agrega los efectos estéticos y funcionales propios de su tratamiento (radioterapia, quimioterapia, cirugía) y del crecimiento tumoral. Se presenta un caso clínico y se hace un análisis ético de acuerdo a los principios clásicos de máximo (autonomía y justicia) y de mínimo (beneficencia y no maleficencia). Se analizan conceptos como, dignidad de la persona, sedación al final de la vida.

The terminal cancer patient head and neck are a patient, apart from suffering from the cancer itself, adds aesthetic and functional effects of their own treatment (chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery) and tumour growth. We present a case report and ethical analysis is based on principles of maximum (autonomy and justice) and minimum (beneficence and non maleficence). It reflect on what the patient’s dignity and the concept of person.
