Resumen de Los dibujos de Guamán Poma de Ayala y la representación de las técnicas constructivas del siglo XVI en el Virreinato de Perú

  Siempre se ha estimado que los dibujos de Guamán Poma de Ayala únicamente revelaban una idealización de la cosmovisión indígena expresada en el tema de las ciudades hispanas del siglo XVI, y que los edificios mostrados en su manuscrito no existieron. Sin embargo, los autores han localizado dos iglesias situadas en la zona altoandina de Perú, provenientes de dicha centuria, las cuales no han sido muy impactadas por los terremotos que se dieron en la historia peruana y que destruyeron la mayoría de las construcciones del siglo XVI. Precisamente el haber encontrado referentes reales sobre los que pudo Guamán Poma basar us dibujos ha permitido descifrar los caracteres gráficos del cronista con respecto a los elementos constructivos que configuraron la arquitectura del siglo XVI en el virreinato de Perú.

  It has always been considered that the drawings of Guamán Poma de Ayala only revealed an idealization of the indigenous worldview expressed in the theme of the Hispanic cities of the 16th century, and that the buildings shown in his manuscript did not exist. However, the authors have located two churches located in the high Andean area of Peru, from that century, which have not been greatly impacted by the earthquakes that occurred in Peruvian history and that destroyed most of the 16th century buildings. Precisely having found real references on which Guamán Poma could base his drawings has allowed us to decipher the graphic characters of said chronicler with respect to the construction elements that shaped the architecture of the 16th century in the Viceroyalty of Peru.
