  • In a general way an ethical system should satisfy two main conditions:

    first it should be coherent from the logical point of view and secondly it should be realizable. Of course, both conditions are equally important in the justificatory structure of the systems. In spite of this, the realizability is generally considered just as an empirical feature.

    Here we will support that in order to evaluate an ethical system we have to take into account not only its coherence but its realizability. We also show the contributions made by the contemporary utilitarism in order to improve the realizability
