Botrytis spp. es uno de los patógenos más importantes de las plantas a nivel mundial, existiendo muchas especies de este hongo, que generan daños económicos inmensurables a los agricultores y productores si está no se controla a tiempo. El objetivo de esta investigación es dar a conocer a la comunidad científica la importancia económica, biológica y ecológica que tiene este fitopatógeno, Botrytis spp. a escala mundial y como ha ido creciendo su importancia desde antaño hasta la actualidad. En esta investigación se realizó una revisión sistematica de toda la literatura que sean referidos al tema con un diseño no experimental, descriptivo y análitico. Por lo mismo se ha acudido a busquedas de la información en fuentes que sean verídicas, fiables y sean conocimiento obtenido producto del método científico, como lo son los artículos que están disponibles en las bases de datos como Scielo, WOS, Scopus, Science Direct y otras bases de datos con exigencia científica. En base a las revisiones sistemáticas se puede concluir que Botrytis spp. es uno de los hongos más importantes a nivel económico, biológico y ecológico lo cuál es contrastado por los efectos que ocasiona si no se controla; desde perdidas económicas, perdida de biodiversidad y alteración del equilibrio ecológico.

The objective of this research is to make the scientific community aware of the economic, biological and ecological importance of this phytopathogen, Botrytis spp. on a global scale and how its importance has been growing from ancient times to the present. In this research, a systematic review of all the literature that refers to the topic was carried out with a non-experimental, descriptive and analytical design. For this reason, information has been searched in sources that are true, reliable and are knowledge obtained as a result of the scientific method, such as the articles that are available in databases such as Scielo, WOS, Scopus, Science Direct, and other databases. scientifically demanding data. Based on the systematic reviews it can be concluded that Botrytis spp. It is one of the most important fungi at an economic, biological and ecological level, which is contrasted by the effects it causes if it is not controlled; from economic losses, loss of biodiversity and alteration of the ecological balance.
