    Las pinturas murales de carácter bélico del castillo de Alcañiz incluyen, como es lógico, numerosas representaciones heráldicas y vexilológicas. En este artículo, y además de narrar la historia de su estudio y de su investigación arqueológica, histórica y heráldica, se comentará la realidad de la situación actual de las pinturas en cada uno de sus espacios arquitectónicos, así como los posibles linajes a los que las representaciones heráldicas pudieron pertenecer, la época en que pudieron ser plasmadas y los posibles hechos a los que pudieran aludir las pinturas.

    The warlike mural paintings of Alcañiz castle include, logically, numerous heraldic and vexillological representations. In this article, and in addition to narrating the history of its study and its archaeological, historical and heraldic research, the reality of the current situation of the paintings will be commented on, in each of its architectural spaces, as well as the possible lineages to the that the heraldic representations could have belonged to, the era in which they could have been captured and the possible events to which the paintings could allude.
