The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyze the notions of health-diseasecare expressed by the members of the Dachi Joma indigenous community, located in Anserma, Caldas. The research was carried out through the qualitative approach and the ethnographic method, which made possible a holistic approach to the community that allowed to its members to express from their own words and actions, the conception they have about health and disease. In addition, it helped them to indicate the ways to care for a condition through healing practices, the use of therapeutic resources such as plants and their preferences when it comes to caring for their health. The findings show that these notions are the product of their sociocultural construct and are part of their cultural/traditional health system.
