Resumen de Cabezas en el paisaje: intervenciones artísticas de Alex Flemming en São Paulo, Brasil

  Esta investigación parte del campo del arte público contemporáneo para analizar teórica y críticamente los proyectos públicos realizados por Alex Flemming en São Paulo/Brasil. Este artista brasileño comparte periodos de tiempo en las ciudades de São Paulo y Berlín, encarnando una especie de “artista viajero”, como él mismo se denomina, lo que nos permite establecer conexiones entre la fuerte experimentación con lenguajes y tecnologías y el interés por un alcance social ampliado en su obra. Considerando varios de los autores dedicados a la producción del artista e incorporando nuevos enfoques y entrevista, los objetos de este estudio son las intervenciones artísticas Sumaré (1998) y Duas Cabeças (1991), realizadas por Flemming en andenes de metro y trenes urbanos de las ciudades de São Paulo y Santo André. En estas obras, la movilidad urbana y aspectos de la memoria de la población brasileña son puntos importantes investigados.

  This research is based on the field of contemporary public art in order to analyse theoretically and critically the public art projects carried out by Alex Flemming in São Paulo/Brazil. This Brazilian artist spends part of his time in the cities of São Paulo and Berlin, embodying a kind of “travelling artist”, as he calls himself, which allows us to establish connections between the strong experimentation with languages and technologies and the interest in an extended social outreach in his work. Considering several of the authors dedicated to the artist’s production and incorporating new approaches and interview, the objects of this study are the artistic interventions Sumaré (1998) and Duas Cabeças (1991), carried out by Flemming on underground platforms and urban trains in the cities of São Paulo and Santo André. In these works, urban mobility and aspects of the Brazilian population’s memory are important points investigated.

  Cette recherche se base sur le champ de l’art public contemporain afin d'analyser de manière théorique et critique les projets d’art public réalisés par Alex Flemming à São Paulo/Brésil. Cet artiste brésilien partage son temps entre les villes de São Paulo et de Berlin, incarnant une sorte d’“artiste voyageur”, comme il se définit lui-même, ce qui nous permet d’établir des liens entre la forte expérimentation des langages et des technologies et l’intérêt pour une portée sociale élargie dans son travail. Cette étude prend en compte plusieurs des auteurs qui se sont consacrés à la production de l’artiste, en y ajoutant de nouveaux éclairages et une interview. Elle aura pour objet les interventions artistiques Sumaré (1998) et Duas Cabeças (1991), réalisées par Flemming sur des plateformes de métro et des trains urbains dans les villes de São Paulo et de Santo André. Dans ces œuvres, la mobilité urbaine et certains aspects de la mémoire de la population brésilienne sont des points importants étudiés.
