El "noir" en los tiempos de Google: ficción y realidad en "Betibú" de Claudia Piñeiro

    La escritora argentina Claudia Piñeiro inserta su obra literaria en la tradición del género neopolicial y retrata tanto la Argentina como el mundo globalizado al reflexionar sobre problemas actuales. En su novela Betibú (2011), la autora pondera sobre la interseccionalidad entre el reportaje y la ficción (New Journalism), los medios de comunicación tanto impresos como virtuales y su caótica relación con el poder político. En este ensayo, se analizará que, contrario al noir -donde la óptica pesimista y desencantada del mundo representado no tiene solución-, en Betibú, la autora aúna el suspenso del enigma/misterio de la novela policial clásica, la virulencia del asesino del noir y la crítica social de la novela dura (hardboiled) a una posibilidad de compromiso y cooperación a pesar de una incertidumbre inicial. Esto lo logra teniendo en cuenta los medios de comunicación del siglo XXI mientras pone en duda los preceptos de la ficción y la realidad.

    Argentinian writer Claudia Piñeiro frames her literary works within the new crime novel tradition to depict both Argentina and a globalized world through a reflection on contemporary problems. In Betibú (2011), the author ponders about the intersections between the journalistic report and fiction (New Journalism), the media both printed and digital, and its chaotic rela-tion with political power. In this essay I will analyze that contrary to the noir–in which the pessimistic and disillusioned perspective of the represented society does not have a solution–, in Betibú the author unites the suspense of the enigma/mystery of the classical detective novel, the virulence of the assassin of the noir, and the social criticism of the hardboiled novel, to the possibility of commitment and cooperation despite an initial uncertainty. This is accomplished by resorting to 21st-Century media tools while calling into question the precepts of fiction and reality.
