    La Teología cristiana ha tenido distintas posturas a lo largo de su historia; sin embargo, a pesar de haber tolerado el suicidio en un comienzo, siempre ha presentado una problemática, tanto en lo teórico como en lo práctico, por lo que, se abordará la pregunta: ¿el amor a Dios y el amor propio son conceptos teórico-prácticos suficientes para negar el acto suicida? Debido a la profundidad de la pregunta y la complejidad del tema, el presente trabajo esboza la cuestión desde una perspectiva histórico-sistemática para poder identificar principales hitos de la historia del cristianismo y los distintos argumentos que se han formulado para negar o tolerar el acto suicida. Esto nos llevará a esbozar una futura vía de investigación desde la ontología y las tecnologías asociadas al suicidio.

    Christian theology has manifested different standpoints along its history; however, despite tolerating suicide in the beginning, it has always been a problem both theoretical and practical. So, the question addressed is: Are love for God and love for oneself practical and theoretical concepts sufficient for negating the suicidal act? Since this is an in-depth question and a complex issue, this paper outlines the topic from a historical and systematic perspective to identify the main landmarks of the history of Christianism and the different arguments developed for negating or tolerating the suicidal act. This leads us to outline a future research line from ontology and technologies associated with suicide.
