    Este ensayo explora los retos narrativos de la ficción climática con respecto a escalas temporales, espaciales y sociales. Tras una breve discusión teórica, el ensayo se centra en el género de la "novela negra" en combinación con la ciencia ficción como estrategia narrativa específica para la ficción climática. Se analizan dos novelas españolas sobre el cambio climático, El secreto del agua de Arturo Arnau Tarín (2007) y 2065 de José Miguel Gallardo (2017), en comparación con la novela estadounidense The Water Knife de Paolo Bacigalupi (2015), con el objetivo de demostrar los beneficios y las dificultades de adaptar un género literario establecido al tema del cambio climático.

    This essay explores the narrative challenges of climate fiction with respect to temporal, spatial, and social scales. Following a brief theoretical discussion, the essay focuses the genre of the noir crime novel in its combinations with science fiction as a particular narrative strategy for climate fiction. The analysis centers around two Spanish climate novels, El secreto del agua by Arturo Arnau Tarín (2007) and 2065 by José Miguel Gallardo (2017), in comparison with Paolo Bacigalupi's American novel The Water Knife (2015), with the goal of highlighting the benefits and difficulties of adapting an established literary genre to climate change as a narrative theme.

    Cet article explore les défis narratifs de la fiction climatique en ce qui concerne les échelles temporelles, spatiales et sociales. Après une brève discussion théorique, l'essai se concentre sur le genre du roman noir dans ses combinaisons avec la science-fiction comme stratégie narrative spécifique pour la fiction climatique. L'analyse porte sur deux romans climatiques espagnols, El secreto del agua d'Arturo Arnau Tarín (2007) et 2065 de José Miguel Gallardo (2017), en comparaison avec le roman américain The Water Knife de Paolo Bacigalupi (2015), dans le but de mettre en lumière les avantages et les difficultés d'adapter un genre littéraire établi au changement climatique comme thème narratif.
