  Este trabajo aborda el papel del contexto en el aprendizaje y la enseñanza del español como lengua extranjera (ELE) en entornos multilingües a través del análisis de la alternancia entre el uso y la ausencia del adjetivo posesivo con términos relativos a partes del cuerpo humano. El objetivo general del trabajo es describir el papel que desempeña el contexto en la gramática del español y su aplicación didáctica tanto para los profesores como para los alumnos multilingües de ELE. Se analizan el contexto sintáctico y el semántico-pragmático de los sintagmas que contienen sustantivos relativos a partes del cuerpo que aparecen en las noticias extraídas de la versión digital de dos de los periódicos en español de mayor circulación: El Mundo y El País.

  Concretamente se ha comprobado que en español, es innecesario el uso del adjetivo posesivo con términos relativos a partes del cuerpo salvo en dos situaciones: (1) cuando la pertenencia es prominente y por consiguiente, se resalta lo poseído; y (2) cuando hay necesidad de señalar al poseedor.

  This work addresses the role of context in learning and teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) in multilingual settings, through an analysis of the alternation between the use and the absence of possessive adjectives when using terms concerning parts of the human body. The main objective of this paper is to describe the role of context in Spanish language grammar and its didactical application, both by teachers and multilingual ELE students. We analyze the syntactic and semantic-pragmatic context of syntagms including substantives concerning parts of the body; specifically, we work with articles published in the digital versions of two Spanish newspapers with the greatest circulation: El Mundo and El País. In particular, it has been found that the use of the possessive adjective is unnecessary in Spanish with terms concerning parts of the body, except in two scenarios: (1) when property is salient, therefore highlighting the part possessed, and (2) when there is a need to underscore the owner of that part.
